As Newfoundlanders we know we are a product of this place; rugged and unyielding; fragile and resilient. As a result we care deeply about the preservation of our environment for future generations. At the SJCC our commitment to environmental protection informs our policies, impacts our daily practices and inspires a future we can all be proud of.
Recycling
Our extensive facility wide recycling program recovers a wide variety of materials. All operations participate in our Solid Waste Management Program, separating paper products and blue-bag recyclables from regular refuse. Waste-separation containers are also provided in all public areas of the facility to encourage visitors to recycle.
